Hi! We’re Harman and Nili, experienced wildlife photographers with a lifelong passion for East Africa’s wild places. In May 2027, we invite a small group of like-minded guests to join us on an unforgettable journey through Tanzania’s most iconic destinations: the Ngorongoro Crater, Serengeti National Park and Tarangire National Park.

Over the course of the safari, we'll help you elevate your wildlife photography by sharing practical camera techniques, post-processing workflows and our extensive knowledge of animal behaviour. Whether you're looking to refine your skills or simply experience Tanzania's wildlife in the company of safari experts, this safari is designed to inspire and stir the soul.

A few reasons why you should join this safari

  • We will visit three of Tanzania’s most productive safari destinations: Ngorongoro, Serengeti and Tarangire.

  • With only four guests across two custom-built photography vehicles, you'll enjoy an intimate safari with plenty of personal space, flexibility and one-on-one guidance throughout the trip.

  • Whether you're just starting out or have years of experience, we'll provide personalised guidance in the field to help you improve your composition, camera settings, wildlife storytelling and post-processing techniques.

  • Our focus isn't on ticking species off a list. We prioritise spending longer with exceptional sightings, allowing you to observe behaviour, experiment with compositions, and wait for the perfect light or action.

  • Our custom-built vehicles accommodate just two photographers each and feature spacious seating, low-angle photography doors and room to comfortably use large telephoto lenses, creating a far superior shooting experience than traditional safari vehicles.

  • Every game drive has been planned around the best photographic conditions, making the most of early morning and late afternoon light while maximising opportunities for memorable wildlife encounters.

  • We believe that great wildlife photography begins with respect. We work with experienced guides who prioritise animal welfare and ethical viewing practices, ensuring natural behaviour always comes before the photograph.

Purpose-built for Photographers

Our custom-built safari vehicles have been thoughtfully designed to provide the ultimate photography experience. With only two photographers in each vehicle, you'll have plenty of room to work comfortably with large telephoto lenses, change angles with ease, and shoot from low, eye-level perspectives for more intimate and impactful images.

The small group size also gives you far greater flexibility in the field. Rather than following the priorities of a larger group, you'll have a genuine say in which animals we search for and how long we spend at each sighting. This creates a more personalised safari, allowing every game drive to be centred around your photography and the images you want to create.

Below you will see a drawing of the vehicle we will be using in Ngorongoro and Serengeti.

Ngorongoro

Perched on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, we will stay at the beautiful Serena Ngorongoro Lodge, with sweeping views of the world's largest intact volcanic caldera. Early mornings and evenings offer stunning light over the crater.

Our focus in Ngorongoro will be exploring the crater floor, one of Africa's most wildlife-rich ecosystems. Home to an exceptional density of animals, the crater offers opportunities to see lions, elephants, buffalo, spotted hyenas, black rhinos and large herds of plains game, often against the beautiful backdrop of the crater walls.

Throughout our time here, we'll help you make the most of every encounter, sharing fieldcraft, camera techniques and guidance on using light and composition to create powerful and memorable images. This will be the perfect starter to our photographic safari, as the crater provides an ideal environment to refine your camera settings, composition and field techniques while enjoying frequent wildlife encounters.

Serengeti

From the Ngorongoro Crater, we continue into Serengeti National Park, where we will stay at the beautiful Mawe Tented Camp. Nestled among the granite kopjes that define this part of the Serengeti, the camp places us in the heart of one of Africa's most productive big cat landscapes.

Our focus here will be photographing the Serengeti's iconic predators, particularly lions, leopards and cheetahs. The towering granite kopjes are natural lookout points for lions and are favoured resting places for leopards, offering exceptional opportunities to capture dramatic behavioural images. We'll spend our days exploring these rocky outcrops and the surrounding plains, searching for predator interactions, hunting behaviour and intimate moments that tell the story of life in the Serengeti. The endless grasslands, scattered acacia trees and ancient granite formations create a stunning backdrop for wildlife photography.

Throughout our time in the Serengeti, we'll guide you in anticipating animal behaviour, working with changing light and composing images in a unique way that captures both the beauty and raw drama of one of Africa's greatest wildernesses.

Tarangire

Our final destination will be Tarangire National Park, where we will stay at the exclusive Osunyai Lamarkau, surrounded by the wild beauty and tranquillity of northern Tanzania. Known for its ancient baobab trees, diverse landscapes and incredible concentration of wildlife, Tarangire offers a photographic experience that contrasts beautifully with the vast plains of the Serengeti and the dramatic landscapes of Ngorongoro.

Our focus in Tarangire will be capturing the park’s remarkable wildlife and intimate moments among some of Africa’s most iconic scenery. The park is renowned for its large elephant herds, which move beneath towering baobabs and gather along the Tarangire River, creating unforgettable photographic opportunities. We will also search for predators such as lions and leopards, as well as the park’s diverse antelope species, giraffes, zebras and abundant birdlife.

The quieter atmosphere of Tarangire allows us to slow down and immerse ourselves in the smaller details of the ecosystem. From the golden light filtering through ancient baobabs at sunrise to dramatic silhouettes against the evening sky, the park offers endless opportunities to create unique and atmospheric images.

Tarangire will provide the perfect conclusion to our photographic safari, allowing us to refine our techniques, revisit key photography principles and capture the beauty of Tanzania’s wildlife in one of Africa’s most scenic and rewarding national parks.

Meet your Hosts

Jambo! We are Nili and Harman, two passionate wildlife and nature photographers with roots in Kenya.

I am Nili, born and raised in the picturesque town of Kitale, Kenya. My childhood was spent gazing at the stunning slopes of Mt. Elgon, which ignited my love for nature and wildlife from an early age. I moved to Perth, Australia, to complete my Bachelor's in Accounting and Finance, but my heart remained with the wild. After returning to Nairobi in 2013 and working in the corporate world, my interest in wildlife and photography evolved from a mere hobby to a full-fledged passion. By 2016, I was making regular safari trips with a basic Nikon DSLR camera, which deepened my love for photography. Gradually, I invested in better equipment and eventually left the corporate world to become a full-time wildlife photographer and safari planner. For me, conservation and understanding animal behavior are as important as capturing their beauty on camera.

I am Harman, a wildlife, landscape, and travel photographer based in Western Australia. Born in Kenya, my childhood was filled with incredible wildlife moments that I loved to capture. Moving to Western Australia almost a decade ago pushed me out of my comfort zone and expanded my photographic horizons to include diverse landscapes and marine wildlife. This experience diversified my portfolio and taught me the importance of adaptability as a photographer. My goal is to emphasize the importance of our natural world through artistic visuals, hoping to inspire change and raise awareness about the critical role nature plays in our existence.

Together, our work aims to highlight the beauty of Mother Nature and stress the importance of conservation.

We do not have specific requirements for our safari trips. Everyone is welcome, whether you're a photographer or just want to capture moments with your iPhone. If you are a photographer wondering about gear, we recommend a zoom lens of at least 400mm. However, we believe that great photography is more about technique than equipment. Many of our guests have captured stunning photos using their phones and digital cameras.
